Summary
You thought you knew the story of Cinderella...You were wrong.
The kingdom needs an heir and Princess Charmaine is quite aware that the job rests solely upon her shoulders. When her elder sister dies, Charmaine must take her place at the ball designed to find her a husband. With the wedding itself already planned, a hundred men stand ready to be chosen as her husband.
Now all she has to do is pick.
As a servant in the castle kitchens, Cynder knows his place beneath the royals.
With the impending war between the people of magic and those of his masters, there is little he can do to stop it. On one hand, he’s a staunch supporter of equal rights for his own kind, but on the other, he has already given enough of his life to these people. The only thing truly holding him to the castle is the attraction he feels for the daughter of his King and Queen.
When the two meet, sparks fly...and not just the magical kind.

Cinderella
This was I guess a new and very different take on Cinderella. With Charm being our leading lady and being out through well I guess you could say some kind of hell over all three books with 3 marriages it’s certainly a journey that she goes on. With twists and turns, blackmail and drama beyond belief this was an amazing series. With great characters a brilliant story line it’s a must listen.
Mary also did an awesome job narrating this series.

Unusual twist on Cinderella
I love Cinderella and dystopian books so thought I would try this. I got the kindle version via kindle unlimited and then purchased the audible version as well.
The story, though a little slow in places, was interesting and you could see how the female lead evolved during the 3 books which was a good thing as she started off being quite week. I think there could have been a little more world setting for example, I got confused as to why there was tv but no phones or cars, with the answers being trickled throughout the three books.
Reading the kindle version was ok however the audible version was awful. I do not know what the narrator was thinking. The 3 lead voices were ok but every other character I wanted to punch as the voices she used where just BAD it was like every character except the main 3 where some kind of villain or idiot.
I would not recommend the audible version but I would the kindle if you like a HEA twist on Cinderella.

Captivating story, well-developed characters
I loved, loved this boxset of Cinderella! It was really hard to put down. The story was captivating and the characters were amazing. Even the villains. So many twists, and when I thought I had figured out the story, the author pulled it in another direction! It reminded me of "The Selection" a bit, but only on the surface. Charm goes deeper and explores many themes. The narrator did a great job, giving each character its unique voice. One note, though this is my personal opinion - I would have liked if the boxset was separated in three books, marking where each one ended, instead of having a series of chapters. If you're looking for a different take on fairytales, I highly recommend it!
