Summary

The third novel in the beloved Regency-set world of Julia Quinn's charming, powerful Bridgerton family, now a series created by Shonda Rhimes for Netflix. Welcome to Benedict's story....

Sophie Beckett never dreamt she would sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball - or that 'Prince Charming' would be waiting there for her! Though the daughter of an earl, Sophie had been relegated to the role of servant by her disdainful stepmother. But that night, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she felt like royalty. Yet she knows all enchantments must end.

But Sophie has reckoned without Benedict's determined heart: he has sworn to find and wed his mystery miss, for he knows this is his only chance for a fairy tale love....

"Julia Quinn's Bridgerton books take all of the classic tropes we know and love...and gives them a thoroughly modern twist. I can't focus on anything else." (Stylist)

My favourite Bridgerton!

Great story. Loved the narrator and the character development. Have re-listened multiple times. Can’t wait to see who they cast in the TV show!

Very Interesting Read

I really enjoyed it. Great storyline, and very well written. It started off very well, but was a bit slow towards the end. Sophie was a very annoying character who kept unnecessary secrets that delayed her happy ending. I loved the fact that Possie got her own happily ever after. The narrator did a superb job.

Another beautifully written book.

I loved the Cinderella style twist at the beginning. Make sure you read the books in order. Highly recommended.

Interesting but repetitive

I enjoyed the book, overall, but found myself getting annoyed with the repetitive language. How many times can someone swallow convulsively or part their lips. I also got frustrated with the Americanisms - things being "blocks away" for example.

I'm not sure if I enjoyed the story because I could picture the actors from the Netflix series, or because the story was good. Otherwise, it was good.

still interesting plot even after first two books

Love it, wanna see it on the screen. Benedict's was quite interesting even though I was thinking that after Antony's it's impossible.
