Simple story
I loved this book from Alison. It was simple everyday story but brilliantly written to keep you listening. I could hear Alison’s voice in all chapters. Fabulous.

A FESTIVE 3 STAR 🌟🌟🌟 LISTEN
Well done Lisa Bent and Alison Hammond for a fab festive Chicklit!
You both co-write well together.
I loved that it was set in the run-up to Christmas, it made it more special.
Madison is a strong woman that gets emotionally hurt badly in her marriage and that is difficult to come back from. Especially when it turns your whole family life upside down.
Dropping bombshells at anytime of year is difficult but when your husband drops one to you and your kids 3 weeks before Christmas then it is worse.
I did guess the twist early on.
This was easy to listen too and I wish it had lasted longer than it did.
Seroca Davis did her job as narrator very well.
I got this book in the sale and I recommend it 🌠

Very easy listen
I found this a bit boring and I hate to say this, but it didn’t feel very well written. I really like Alison and I love her autobiography, but this novel was a bit of a let down. It felt predictable and I wouldn’t recommend it. I titled this review ‘very easy listen’ because you can literally miss chunks (when I fell asleep with the timer on) and still keep up. I hope the next one is better as I really want her to be great!
