About this listen

Jane Ashford brings you straight to the English countryside in her newest Regency romance. Perfect for fans of Mary Balogh, Ella Quinn, and Bridgerton, this historical romance features:

• A young woman trying to do the right thing

• An earl's son whose clumsiness is their downfall

• A scandal that turns the haute ton upside down

• The undeniable spark that transforms a blunder into a tender connection

Sarah Moran's attempt to save Kenver Pendrennon—the heir of an earl—as he slips off the Cornwall cliffs sends them both into each other's arms and into the sea. Now, marriage may be the only option to keep a scandal at bay. But what started as a terrible mistake may be exactly what both of them needs...

This story was really good but Rosalyn Landor makes all the difference. I find myself looking for her name for the performance before I’ve chosen the book.

Read by Rosalyn Landor always means the story will be enjoyable.

Not the best not the worst slow and predictable but a nice listen had to skip a few chapters because it’s very long drawn out

Nice story

Another fabulous book & I am thoroughly enjoying the period details & the fact that the Duke & Duchess of Terreford are once again a feature.
There was a little more angst than the other books but it was probably more poignant for me, because I too married into money, with a tyrant of a mother in law. However, all was well in the end, just like my story. Killing the nastiness with kindness & becoming a valued member of the family.

I adore all books in this series.

Another most enjoyable tale , which was beautifully presented and gave me great pleasure!

A very weak story. I preferred the first two books in the series. Very repetitive

Weak story

Very frustrating storyline.
The main male character was so weak it was unbelievable. He was like a child! He did not deserve the girl. The abusive mother was extremely abhorrent. The fact that she got away with such bad behaviour irked me to no end. This is worst book of the series I'm afraid.....

Terrible

Male protagonist's parents are so nasty and manipulative that I couldn't bear to read past chapter 4.

unpleasant
