About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Eve should never have married Don Hathaway. Yes, he gave her two beautiful children - Olly and Tabitha - but he is a bully.

Worse than that, he hurts her.

But, after one drunken rage too many, she has the courage to leave him. Eve is warned that it's a difficult path, yet she needs to give her children hope for the future.

Don, however, is bitter. And getting away entirely from him proves impossible.

Until the day, Eve tries to teach him a lesson - and it all goes horribly wrong.

Eve loves her children but now she carries a terrible burden that she dares not share. Has she betrayed her and her children's futures?

Betrayal is Lesley Pearse's brilliant thriller.

Fab story as are all of Lesley pearse’s books This book has plenty of twists in it. Well worth listening to.

Brilliant

It was ok, easy listening, quite a good story but very far fetched. Not wanting to do a spoiler but the legal events at the end of the story were completely unrealistic.

Not the usual Lesley Pearse

The narration was fine but didn’t suit the story line/character. Easy to get into and listen to throughout but far fetched in places. Ok but nothing to rave about. I used to love reading Lesley Pearse books, not sure if they just don’t suit audio format.

It’s just ok

I use to read Lesley Pearse books years ago and listening to this story now found her books are still so enjoyable. I just wanted to keep listening until the end

Not a dull moment

Not sure the person reading it matched the story , putting on the voices etc. not a bad insight into domestic abuse but made it seem easier than it is leaving an abusive relationship

Bit far fetched

After seeing Leslie Pearce on bbc breakfast recently she inspired me to read her autobiography which I loved and after I finished that I couldn’t resist listening to my first of many Leslie Pearce books. What a great author and a superb story. The narration was also good and I can not fault anything. Thanks Leslie !

An ok book a bit cheesy not a classic but nicely read and easy to listen to. She came by help for her abuse and legal proceedings very easily not sure that is true to real life though.
