  • When the Midianites were defeated, the Israelites asked Gideon to be their king. Gideon refused, but his subsequent actions revealed his heart. He did not honor or obey the Lord. He not only fell away from the Lord but also caused the Israelites to fall further into the downward spiral of sin.
