The narrator has an extraordinary technique of narrating half the sentence, then pausing, then finishing the sentence. This he does for EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE. I still haven't decided if this is due to a poorly taught (or poorly understood) narration technique, or if he's not just not very good at, y'know...reading.
Either way avoid, there are much better unabridged options for this book.

Beware; badly narrated

The story is always a good one, but sadly the narrator was brutal and there were gaps now and then. I love the story enough to keep listening.

Great story of course

I couldn’t finish listening to this book because the narration was so awful. Pauses in odd places, the tempo was off, very frustrating.

Why does the narrator sound like a robot?
