Summary

Among the towering red cliffs of Petra, like some monstrous swollen Buddha, sat the corpse of Mrs Boynton. A tiny puncture mark on her wrist was the only sign of the fatal injection that had killed her.

With only 24 hours available to solve the mystery, Hercule Poirot recalled a chance remark he'd overheard back in Jerusalem: 'You see, don't you, that she's got to be killed?' Mrs Boynton was, indeed, the most detestable woman he'd ever met.

Another Christie classic which takes a series of turns that will keep listeners guessing to the end. Starring John Moffatt as Hercule Poirot.

Appointment with Death is one of my favourite M. Poirot cases. I can listen to the dramatisation anytime. Very enjoyable.

Typical Christie

Easy listen, enjoyable yarn, for those days when you need to multitask. This doesn't detract from its old world charm

Love her archaeological settings

Agatha Christie knew these locations well. I feel I am learning about the landscape and history at the same time as listening to a good whodunit .

POWERFUL CHRISTIE AT HER BEST

I recall this one as part of the Hercule Poirot tv series with actress Cheryle Campbell plays Lady Boynton and she was fear at its best, this one is the most scariest of all Christies works. This radio full cast is an excellent production too. A good tense few hours of entertainment with Agatha Christie. You can’t go wrong.

Good listen

Story was a little tricky to follow because of various characters. Nice twist towards the end though. Actors good.
