What a fascinating story. Beautifully told. I watched the Disney plus series and then decided to read the book of it. I had never heard of Miep b4 and I never knew she kept the diaries. Whilst it is a very sad story, it’s well told and written. Well done Miep and thank you for keeping Anne’s and her family’s name alive in the history books of time.

This is a well told and very thorough book. Telling not only the story of Anne & her family and friends. But also what Meip & Yan, and friends had to go through during the war. Things Inhad not realised had even gone on for people. I will read this again.

Having finished The diary of Anne Frank and visited Amsterdam, I was keen to learn more. This is beautifully written, performed excellently and is absolutely heart wrenching. Could not recommend enough. Everyone should read and remember about the horrific suffering that went on during the war. It is an excellent portrayal that truly paints a picture. What wonderful humans Miep and her husband were.

This book gives another level to the much- traversed narrative of Anne Frank - that of an outsider struggling to help those in the annex whilst making huge personal sacrifices
