Fun & Practical
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It groups idioms into different categories like work, sports, social media, and love. A Delightful Dive into Modern Idioms
I sent this to my son, who is a word nerd, and this book was a perfect fit for him! As a Gen Xer, he appreciated learning about millennial and Gen Z idioms that he had heard but didn't fully understand. The book is organized into chapters based on idiom themes like professional, athletic, social media, and romance idioms. He particularly enjoyed the chapter on rediscovering idioms, featuring those considered passé but still worth using. This book covers many idioms of the English language. If English isn't your first language, this book might be a life-saver for you! English isn't my first language, although I moved to the US at 3 years of age, and this book helped me understand many idioms.
