About this listen

An academy that scrapes the sky. Blight that fills the earth. Two codgers duking it out.

Artorian has decided to live, all in order to save his lost village children. His recent battle against a simple raider captain has proven that if he tries to charge ahead...he'll die.

With the help of his captors, who quickly turn into close friends, Artorian takes the first steps onto the path of a true cultivator. Finesse, skill, fine-tuned cultivation techniques, and more is within his grasp. Artorian is more than willing to learn; after all, that's his specialty!

This knowledge has strings attached. After meeting the ancient enemy of his trainers, Artorian returns to the place he first studied his true passion of philosophy: the Skyspear. It's under new management, and the alumni have very different ideas about how the students should be trained.

A strong follow-up

This book could be a listener's starting point to the series, but I would recommend the previous book in the series as you will appreciate this one and the main character that much more if you do.

In some ways you could almost have a lot of this book take place as a training montage, but the somewhat gentler pace works well with this character, drawing you into the story more gradually, but ensuring you will want to know what happens next with him and his mission.

The narrator does a good job of helping to bring this varied cast of characters to life, serving to enhance the enjoyment of the listener.

Overall, a strong second book in the series and I'll definitely be checking out subsequent ones in the future.

Wholesome cultivation action.

I do still find the narrator fitting for the story but his voice is making me sleepy. Onward to book 3!

Good progression. I liked it

Good continuation of artorians story. Good progression.

Also shout out for the excellent narrator which makes such a difference to the experience. I much prefer Travis Baldrees performance to the other new narrator for the divine dungeon series who puts me to sleep. Keep it up!

Artorian rules😁

It was pleasure to listen another part of Artorian's adventures. Love how he make mess everywhere he goes. I'm little lost with how many years he was with elves, but who cares. Thank You for awesome book.

Okey book as far as I got, I did not finish.

First book was good, but this one is to technical. it's great if you would like to know how the world works and the philosophy is good on that end. but at times the characters were to childish. I did not finish the book but I hope someone finds the book a better read than I did.

Bewildered

Aimless meandering, no plot or reason people come and go with no explanation. If l was his "children" l would have lost hope, this man ain't in a hurry, John Wayne in the Searchers is faster
