Summary

Swift lives with his pack in the mountains, until one day his home and family are lost. Alone and starving, Swift must make a choice: eke out a desperate life on the borders of his old hunting grounds, or strike out and find a new place to call home.

The journey Swift must go on is long and full of peril, and he'll need to take every chance he can. Will he find the courage to survive all by himself?

An exciting, riveting and sad story all at once

Reviewed by my son who is eleven.

It was a very exciting, fun, sad and thrilling book but it was also a bit too sad at times. Although the story was a realistic portrayal of the wolves and the animal kingdom, it was quote sad because of all the deaths that happened. Overall a great story that others should listen to and the ending was lovely. The narration was solid.
