lovely story that is very real and heart wrenching. I nearly fast forwarded to get nearer the end to get some relief from the agony, but stuck it out. compelling story. tremendous voice and narration.

Absolutely loved it, from start to finish, Fern read it to me and I WAS Delia, i felt as if i was at Winderhoo myself and planning all the renovations, oh i wish i was.

I’m a first time reader of Fern B, and I really enjoyed this listening experience. It’s ideal for a summer break and doesn’t disappoint at all. The main characters are well written and it’s an excellent companion for a summer escape from the current reality of day to day news etc.
