Александр Исаевич писал "Дороженьку", находясь в лагере. Вернее даже не писал. Это были 12 тысяч строк, которые он запоминал. Он писал на клочках, а потом эти клочки сжигал, запоминал. И так, в памяти, и вывез из лагеря. Впервые повесть была опубликована в 1999 году.
