LOVED IT WITH HEA
What a beautiful love story, yes some might say deception whilst others will see it how it began
Sean Tagget & his old military men working undercover for the CIA Then when he meets pa Grace Hawthorne who they're investigating as well as her boss for selling information to other countries.
But he can't help himself he has to have her, he's falling for her, especially the tell tale lines of the submissive she is. & when she falls for his talk & charisma she had to have him, but she's terrified as she hadn't been with anyone since (or before) her husband died 6 yrs prior & she's never done any of the ways Sean takes her to but what she had dreamed about.
Then Team Leader (who is His brother Ian) takes him off being her personal trailer. As he jeopardised the situation what with sleeping with her & his team mates can see he's falling for her, so he wouldn't be able to do his job unprofessionally what with his feelings being so much deeper. Then they had to pull her in before they can finish off their investigation.
Sean didn't then have the time to let her know the truth about the feelings he's getting. Then Would She believe the truth about his feelings after she finds out he & the others she started to become close to, were investigating her & she was.one of the.main people they were investigating. Though he didn't really think she had anything to do with it & he then WAS TOO scared to tell her the truth.
So will everything turn out the way you'd want it you....

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this book, it had me gripped til the end. This is a fairly lengthy listen and I had it finished in three days, I listened for over 8 hours on day 3 and was thoroughly entertained throughout.
I read some of the reviews beforehand and am surprised by some. One complained about it being explicit, it's called The Dom Who Loved Me, I'd thought the clue is in the title! If you aren't into erotica fiction then this isn't for you.
Another complained about the use of CIA when they have no jurisdiction within the US, all I can say is they didn't listen to the whole story.
I'm heading straight to buy book 2 in the series!

Fast-paced and held my attention!
This book was a fast-paced ride that I had trouble pausing! This age gap, romantic suspense was really well written and featured amazing characters. The pace of this book held my attention and it helped me enjoy the narration even though it was a solo narrated book.
Ryan West was amazing at voicing the different characters and there were definitely moments where I forgot that there was only one narrator.

Smexy and suspenseful audiobook. Grace and Sean meet under unusual circumstances and their souls quickly connect despite their age difference and life choices.

Great narration especially of the male characters
The first book in the Masters and Mercenaries series and the introduction of the now infamous Taggart Security. The Dom Who Loved Me opens with Sean Taggart going undercover to unearth an eco-terrorist. His target is Grace, a slightly older widow who may or may not be involved. His job is to find out what she knows by any means possible, and the dominant Sean soon spots Grace’s inherent submissive nature and introduces her to the world of BDSM. The overall storyline had me engrossed right from the start with plenty of twists and turns, building the suspense before reaching a dramatic conclusion but I can’t help but feel a little let down by the character of Sean. At times he came across as being a bit juvenile in his behaviour instead of the 32 he was and a couple of the things he did crossed a line especially when she still didn’t know his who he really was. His feelings for Grace were a bit too instalove and as for Grace, well she was just a bit too quick to forgive him.
As a rule, I generally prefer audiobooks with dual narration, but Ryan West did a fantastic job here. Even if I did feel his female voices were a bit meh, his performance of the various male characters was fantastic as he gave each one a its own distinct twist making it easy to differentiate between each one, something I appreciated given the large number of male characters in this book. I do have to say though that I did have to increase the playback speed of this audio as the default setting was just too much of a drawn-out drawl.

First Book in a Spectacular Series
4.5⭐️ rounded to 5 on review sites. The Dom Who Loved Me by Lexi Blake is Book 1 in the Masters and Mercenaries series, originally published in 2011 as a book and 2014 as an audiobook. This series is about a mercenary/security agency of spies who are also active in the BDSM/Kink community. Sean Taggart was hunting a deadly terrorist and his only lead was Grace Hawthorne, the Executive Assistant for the CEO of an employment agency which is suspected to have ties to eco-terrorists. His job was to use seduction to get close to Grace to learn what she knew, and he was delighted to find her naturally submissive nature, and before she knew it she was falling for Sean, submitting to him at night and trying to get to the bottom of some concerning issues at work during the day. Sean was falling hard for Grace, but was torn between his faith that Grace was innocent and evidence which seemed to suggest otherwise. Did he have a future with Grace when he wasn’t sure he could trust her and their relationship was based on a lie? This was a great audiobook! I am a big fan of this author, whose writing style is witty and spicy, and whose stories keep me engaged from beginning to end. This is a long-running series and I am looking forward to delving further into this world. The narrator was great and audiobook is a great option for devouring this novel! If you haven’t ever read the books in this series and are a fan of hot, romantic suspense, then this may be the book for you. I am voluntarily writing this honest review after listening to an advanced complementary copy of this audiobook thanks to Valentine PR and DLZ Entertainment LLC.
