Summary
Although Mei didn’t need the money, her friend Jule convinced her to help him serve at some rich guy’s New Year’s Eve party. The fact the man’s mansion was located by the beach, along with the desperation in her friend’s voice, leads her to commit to helping him out. The extra $300 assisted with saying "yes" to working the party with him.
Going to a party was the last thing Carey wanted to do tonight. But since Sean insisted that he would enjoy himself and that there would be some interesting people that he could possibly make some business deals with, he decides he doesn't want to miss out on the opportunity.
