Summary
Originally published under the same title through Leta Blake's former pen name, Blake Moreno.
Heat can be sold, but love is earned.
In a world where omegas sell their heat for profit, Adrien is a university student in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly allows the university's matcher to offer his virgin heat for auction online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for all omegas, Adrien hopes whoever wins his heat will be kind.
Heath - a wealthy, older alpha - is rocked by the young man's resemblance to his dead lover, Nathan. When Heath discovers Adrien is Nathan’s lost son from his first heat years before they met, he becomes obsessed with the idea of reclaiming a piece of Nathan.
Heath buys Adrien’s heat with only one motivation: to impregnate Adrien, claim the child, and move on. But their undeniable passion shocks him. Adrien doesn't know what to make of the handsome, mysterious stranger he's pledged his body to, but he’s soon swept away in the heat of the moment and surrenders to Heath entirely.
Once Adrien is pregnant, Heath secrets him away to his immense and secluded home. As the birth draws near, Heath grows to love Adrien for the man he is, not just for his connection to Nathan. Unaware of Heath's past with his omega parent and coming to depend on him heart and soul, Adrien begins to fall as well.
But as their love blossoms, Nathan's shadow looms. Can Heath keep his new love and the child they've made together once Adrien discovers his secrets?
Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m erotic romance by Leta Blake, writing as Blake Moreno. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized omegaverse, an age gap, dominance and submission, heats, knotting, and scorching hot scenes.

A bit of a dark romance!
Heath buys an omega’s heat, one that looks like his dead lover. This omega is sweet and smart but very naive. Heath is super Alpha and needs an heir. They click from the beginning but both afraid to tell the other their expectations. It’s a good story, with the drama of Nathan in the middle and some good for nothing siblings and good friends. Enjoyable listen! Mr Dean always makes the stories shine a bit more with his narration.

Very very erotic
What a beautiful story of love, a few ups and downs throughout which proves one should talk but it has a happy ending and it's beautifully narrated, enjoy.

Wonderful as expected
Leta Blake is an author who I never regret reading any book written by her and I have appreciated following the “heat of love” series. Loved the book from the beginning until the last word.

Driven By His Obsession.
MM Alpha Omega Mpreg romance, a great story. I binge listened to it as I was instantly hooked and felt invested in seeing how their relationship developed. Michael Dean did a brilliant job narrating as per usual.

Heat for Sale
Good mpreg a/o world listen. There was a lot of steam. It felt a bit like a fairytale retelling to me, which I enjoy. It's heavy steam, and I would've enjoyed a little more of them together just hanging out. It's still well done. I think Michael Dean did an excellent job of narrating.

Mostly enjoyed
I mostly enjoyed this story, and the narration by Michael Dean was fantastic.
I liked the story mostly, except that I really didn't enjoy the name-calling during sex. Maybe I'm alone, but being repeatedly called a slut during sex would not turn me on. I enjoyed the steamy scenes, but I would have liked to see more relationship development outside of the bedroom. It seems there wasn't much. (Adrien didn't even know Heath worked from home. I would have expected them to at least have lunches together or something.) So, while I enjoyed the story, I think Heath had a lot more sharing to do to fully win Adrien's trust. Maybe that happened between the last chapter and the epilogue. Simon and Lance were great characters, and it was nice that Adrien and Heath had such good friends to give them advice. Very interesting and unique alpha/omega/heat concepts. I would be interested in more if the author developed this into a series.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Enjoyable story, the narration wasn't my favorite
Nothing new - omega goes into heat, there will be probably a pregnancy and a love story between the alpha and omega. Spiced with some dirty secrets and hot as hell heat sex.
I haven't enjoyed the audio as much as I wanted to. The story itself is enjoyable, but the audio/narrator didn't do it for me. I hate those 'screaming sex narration' scenes, some narrators really do it wrong for it to be enjoyable. I tried and listened to it on 1x (mostly listen on 3x +), but it was the same. It's like a pain in my brain, nothing sexy.
The book and the other heat-books by Leta was/is on my TBR and I wasn't disappointed with this book. I'm looking forward to read more. I love heat sex and omegaverse books.

Interesting premise
I love seeing how different authors handle omegaverse/mpreg stories and the blurb for this one sounded intriguing. It more than delivered on my expectations. You know from the beginning, that there is going to be major devastation when Heath's secret comes out and there is. What I wanted to see was how the author would resolve it. What I did not expect, was the amount of character growth depicted in the story. Heath starts out thinking only of himself and what he wants but we follow him as he realizes he has fallen in love with Adrien, the man, not just some host for a child related to his dead love. Then we grieve with him as he knows what is going to happen. We also grieve for Adrien who expected very little, finds the love of his life and then has that joy ripped away. This is a mega angst book but the ending is worth it. Michael Dean had a really difficult job here. He had to run the gamut of emotions from incredible joy and love to the depths of despair, remorse and grief. He delivers a super performance that will rip you heart out in places.

An Instant Favorite
Heat for Sale is an erotic omegaverse with D/s elements set within an alternate reality. This is one of my favorite omegaverse books, both as a kindle book and as an audiobook, and I hope that one day this standalone book is expanded into a series. I would love more books set within this universe. However, as much as I love this book, it is definitely not for everyone – readers should read the sample and author blurb if they aren’t sure if this book is for them.
I found Heath and Aiden to be addictive characters – I just wanted to know more about them and I savored every moment they spent together in their unique romance. The intensity of their emotions led to some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve read, and it was only amplified by the entire gothic setting that was the backdrop for most of the book. The plot was simple, but so well written that even though I knew there would be a happy ending, I still felt some suspense and anticipation when the blow-up happened. The audiobook was well done and extremely enjoyable. I know that I will be reading and listening to this book again and again in the future.
