Sadly, that isn't even its greatest flaw. Beth is awkward and quite unremarkable, which leaves the imaginatively named Dom to impress us... I'll pause here, in case anyone didn't catch the sarcasm... Unfortunately, our supposedly experienced handsome devil has never heard of aftercare. Which, for those reading who may be uninitiated, is a fundamental practice of BDSM. Especially when introducing someone new to the lifestyle!
There were a few nicely put together passages, and the narrator did a decent job with what she had to work with, giving each character a fairly distinct voice, and emphasizing their emotions well enough, but I wasn't thrilled at any point. In fairness, though, that was mostly due to the painfully mediocre writing.

Where does Fire After Dark rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was the first book I have listened too I did not know what to expect. The story kept me listening and 5 hours passed in to evenings. Looking forward to many Unst winter nights when the Atlantic storms rage outside listening to great stories.What was one of the most memorable moments of Fire After Dark?
This young woman is growing in confidence and belief of her own sexuality and the confidence. of a grown woman.Have you listened to any of Amy Le Fay’s other performances? How does this one compare?
