About this listen

Alabama-born Anarchy might be able to hide her Southern accent, but she can't hide her feelings for Avalon's resident sadist.

Everyone, it seems, knows how much she loves Jasper, including the man himself, but that doesn't stop the pain of the axe falling on her dreams with a sharpened blade. It's only compounded when—apparently consumed by guilt for not encouraging her to stay away from him—Jasper asks a favor from the biggest Master in Avalon….

Jasper Fairfax is a complex man. Bred to be a killer, raised and trained by a monster, he's done a lot of bad things in his life. Things he doesn't like remembering, but can't let go. Sadism is ingrained within him, nurtured by his father, until it became part of him. Over the years, he's tried to be a better man, a good man.

Anarchy, his pretty kitten, is the bright light against his darkness. A beacon of hope for a man who believes himself destined to be alone like the monster he’s tried not to become. But what hope does a man deserve when extinguishing that light is his nature?

Letting her go is hard; letting her in is worse.

Especially when his past is no longer content to stay in the past.

Club Avalon continues!

Cry For Me, Club Avalon Book 2 by Kay Elle Parker
Narration by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire

This series has captured me as its filled with a group of friends who have become family with one another. It’s packed with suspenseful situations that spring from Master Jasper’s past. He’s a well respected sadist dominant in club Avalon and while he admires the little sun Anarchy who’s become his shadow he knows he would break her. So to stop the infatuation she has to him he thinks the best way to deal with it, would be to have another dominant; one he can trust to be good for her. He has Master Atticus take her on to learn more about the lifestyle. Only he hadn’t counted on it affecting him so much. He leaves thinking it best for Archie yet it puts both into turmoil.

But this amazing group of friends rally round and gave Archie realizing she belongs both at the club and as the sun for Master Jasper. They just have to wait for him to return.

Jasper believes he isn’t worthy of any women especially sweet Anarchy but while away soul searching realizes he was so wrong.

But when he returns to claim her. His past comes knocking on their door and that past wants Anarchy. But this group of friends are there to protect their own.

The narration was amazing with Jenna and GQ. I loved how Anarchy becomes stronger as the story progresses. Jenna shows us Archie’s strength, sweetness and vulnerability in this book. And her portrayal of Connie and Brodie helped me to see the interaction and love this group has for each other. Gunnar has a prefect voice to showcase all the masculine characters in this story. Gruff when needed while playing the parts of Jasper and Atticus as well as Braun.

Yet the ending has left me wondering how did they handle Jasper’s rotten family situation. Definitely need to hear what happens next.

This series is amazing!

Once again, I am captivated by the writing of Kay Elle Parker. This series not only gives us the spice, but a story to sink your teeth into. This book features Anarchy, a sweet sub who pines after sadist, Master Jasper. He is always watching her, but feels he is too dark for her and is afraid what he may do to her. Anarchy has found out the real meaning of family in the club, and with Atticus, Connie, Braun and Brodie realized their is more to the word than blood. This group knows what their friend Jasper needs, and they know it’s Archie..they just need him to realize it. But even together, in love and finding their way, their is a darkness that follows Jasper. And it’s dangerous. High suspense, the true meaning of friendship and love like no other, Parker takes us on a wild ride. Anarchy is a fantastic heroine. I love how she transforms and finds her strength. Loyal and loving, she is amazing. Jasper is quite a man. He is extremely attentive and finally finds his way through his past. This is the kind of story I love, with community, suspense and love. It’s the perfect listen.

Narrated by the team of Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire I am treated to a fabulous interpretation of these characters. Qualen knows how to play the alpha male and can add that bit of vulnerability and emotion but not lose his dominance. St Claire is fabulous as Anarchy. She is a complex woman, and each stage of her transformation is pulled out and felt with St Claire’s emotional portrayal. This team knows how to tell a story and make it come alive!
