I enjoyed the dilemma aspect of this tale – following your heart or carrying out your duty – which Ms Heaton gives us here; both Cavanaugh and Eloise feel the weight of putting their pride before their own happiness.
I was already a bit of a Cavanaugh fan (there are scenes throughout the Eternal Mates books take place in Underworld, the nightclub that he works in) but I loved getting beneath that hard, stoic exterior. Eloise is exactly what I want from a main female character; resilient, intelligent, funny and loyal.
I really liked Aaron Abano's performance as the narrator in the audio format. He adjusted the pace and tone of his narration to convay the different scenes, putting the necessary emotions into his reading as well as changing his voice for Cavanaugh and Eloise's dialogue and the other characters in this story.

They were definitely made for each other but the gods, their lack of communication made me want to throttle them both a time of two.
Narrator did a good job with both characters, conveying their feelings and frustrations.
