Summary

Infuriating, sexy and seemingly everywhere, Penn Barnett is far too sexy for his own good. It seems like every woman in Rockhead Point has had a taste of the mountain man, and I can definitely see the appeal.

When I literally fall into his orbit, he tells me I'm his the moment our eyes meet. But my life is anything but simple, and right now I just don't have the time or energy for another complication in my world no matter how hot he is.

Only he isn't prepared to take no for an answer and he's determined to make me his.

Now he's everywhere I am, following me home and trying to take over my life. But I'm not the only woman who wants to be claimed by him and his ex has open access to my life, especially when I'm staying in her mom's house.

If I'm his and he's mine, how come everything is trying to tear us apart? He wants to claim me, and I might want that too, but my life isn't my own, and for the first time ever the Barnett brothers' legacy might not be as powerful as real life.

Fun, Spicy listen!

Let me just start by saying that I love this series. These over the top brothers bring a smile to my face with the stubbornness and absolute knowing that their woman is for them. This is book 4 in the Montana Mountain Men, and Penn is spectacular. As soon as he sees Lulu, he understands his brothers who have found their person. He didn't even have to speak to her to know it. Lulu on the other hand has a different view on his alpha male, over protective bossiness. She has a life, and will do whatever it takes to keep it on an even keel. Penn will have none of that, and even with the surprise he gets, he is all in. Will Lulu give in to the handsome, overbearing man? I absolutely love Penn. His energy is high, but his love outshines it all. Lulu's hesitation is totally understandable, I get her completely. Plus hanging with the Barnetts is a just fun! I love the banter and the love between the brothers and their women. It's an all out enjoyable listen.

Maeve York and Michael Norman Johnson pull out all the stops with this one. York as Lulu plays hard to get, and she is fantastic! The loving parent, the unsure girlfriend, and the passionate lover, she finds each part of Lulu. Johnson is Penn, all up in her face, loving and confident in who he is and what he wants. This is a fun listen and like the others in the series should not be missed.

My Thoughts on Claimed by the Mountain Man

This book was insanely, deliciously over-the-top, and I loved every minute of it. I didn’t really need the warning in the beginning having read previous books in this series, but I get that maybe someone new to the series might be thrown off by the content. However, I am a reader of romance for exactly the types of things that I find here. I want to get lost in the fun of fiction. And while it is fun sometimes when you can relate and see some realism in the romance, it’s also great to suspend reality and read about a total fantasy and that is exactly what I get when I listen to the books in this series. These guys love their women to the absolute extremes of reason sometimes. And there are moments when they absolutely had me laughing at how absurd the lengths they would go to her. Penn was definitely over the top. But it always came from a place of love. And his leading lady Lulu, and her daughter Poppy, absolutely deserved that kind of love. They had been through so much before meeting him. Lulu in particular hadn’t experienced much in the way of love or acceptance, and I really enjoyed seeing her not only get the man who was absolutely head over heels for her, but also his big, huge family as well as the ability for that family and love to grow. The narration of the story just heightened my love for it. I thought both performers were well suited for the characters’ personalities, and a certainly wouldn’t mind listening to either of them again in future stories.

Different complication to the crazy

Another Barnett brother that’s crazy but swoon worthy!! This story brings a different complication into the mix that is welcoming and heartwarming. The drama is always real and you want to swoon, cheer and get a bit 🔥 from them! Epilogue missed a major point in her life though and I hope it gets addressed in later books because there is still another brother left!

❤️

Back with the Barnett brothers for Penns book, and he is just as unhinged as the rest of them, but he is my favourite!

The way he is with Lulu just works for me and when he finds out she has a 6 month old daughter called Poppy he is INSTANTLY on board and Poppy is just as much his now as Lulu is. I just love how he claims them both and fights to ensure Lu knows he is 100% in and wants a life with her & Poppy. Lulu's strength and feisty attitude were refreshing after Alice in the last book. She was personally too meek for me, and i much preferred Lulu's attitude/personality as i found it more relatable. She doesn't just let Penn get his way, she pushes back and he likes that about her as when/if she does give in he feels he has earned it and makes it more special to him that she CHOOSES to submit to him at times and it isn't just part of her nature to do so. Both narrators were new to me, so i was a bit nervous incase i i didn't get well as this is a favourite of the series for me, but i enjoyed their performances. Another fun book from this series. 🌶🌶🌶

Amazing dual narration from Maeve York and Michael Norman Johnson. Wow and wow

Penn is one complete absolute alpha, possessive, stubborn jealous and will not back down! But he is also a family man, caring and full of love. When he falls he falls hard.
Lulu needs a fresh start, the last eighteen months have been full of turmoil, heartbreak and mistrust. Having a relationship is not nowhere on her radar. But Penn refuses to take no for an answer. With his undoubting believe she begins to wonder if her happy ever after is a possibility.
This book does warn you at the start, so you have been warned. I loved it.

Holly hell I didn’t know I needed this Alpha in my life!

This guy is an absolute brute in life and in the sack! He says exactly what he wants and takes just as quickly. With animalistic traits I love him. A brilliant performance.
