About this listen
What happens when you're snowed in on a mountain ranch with the one man you definitely should not be fantasizing about?
I've always done what was expected of me. Layla Birch, the good girl. Forced to grow up too fast. To take care of everything myself. I had a plan.
Only, I didn't count on him. Colton Wilder, the cowboy nearly twice my age. He's my dream man. One who takes care of me, gives me a job, and makes my pulse thud harder every time he comes near.
My ex-boyfriend's father.
The nights are long and cold on top of this mountain. As the snow grows thicker and the tension builds between us, we're both inching closer to a line we shouldn't cross.
Each day, it grows harder to resist the man who looks at me with longing in his eyes. It's tempting to forget about being the good girl for once.
No one would find out. Would they?
From international bestselling author Elliott Rose comes a new forbidden love series. Chasing the Wild is an interconnected standalone in the all-new Crimson Ridge series. For mature listeners.
Includes a bonus novella, Bouquets & Buckles.

Loved every minutes
Was I peer pressured by booktok/bookstagram to read this book? Yes.
Do I like cowboy and contemporary romance? Meh.
Was this book one of my favourite this year? Absolutely!
I don't know what magic Eliott Rose puts in her books but I loved it, had to read the next one straight after. I gasped, I had my heart torn apart, I fell in love, I hoped for them.
Anyway, should you read this book? Yes, absolutely and the audiobook is top tier as well. The narrators really brings to life the characters and transport you deep in the ranch setting.
I don't want to peer pressure you but, you should read it 😉

Elliott left no crumbs with this! It was hot, spicy, angsty, and straight taboo but I mean hellllll, I'm here for it 🤤
Probably the spiciest cowboy romance I've read as of yet and it did NOT disappoint. First of all.. Daddy Colt!!!! Are you serious!!! The mouth on that man is something else, gawd damn 🥵 - I'd get on my knees for him that's all I'm gonna say.
Layla, the tempting little devil 😈. She knew exactly what she was doing when she turned up on that ranch. Her attempts at seducing Colt actually made me break a sweat, how he lasted as long as he did without touching her, I'll never know. She's the girl who wants to please people so bad, and boy did she.
If a spicy, forbidden, hot asf cowboy romance wasn't on your agenda for 2025, it is now.

Just superb!
The Crimson Ridge series is my top release of 2024 so I had really high hopes for this release. The narrators did a fantastic job throughout. I doubted the tension and spice would feel the same via audio but buy was I wrong! Elliot Rose is an absolute queen and her choice of narrators was spot on!
