Hattie and Mike wish to return their world to normal and escape the small farmhouse on the edge of the Poudre River in Eastern Colorado. The monsters who roam the Earth present a constant and life-threatening challenge and there seems no end to the blazing lights in the sky that caused the apocalypse. If they can’t escape their situation and discover the cause of the devastation, they will likely die amid the horror. Currently, they survive sleeping in shifts, always on the lookout for one of the giant creatures.

The end of the world arrived at the same time that a massive blizzard hit the city of Colorado Springs. In the midst of the storm, people began losing their minds. These people instantly became giddy killers who laughed while they murdered. Every fiendish assault on normal people was hilarious, every death a cause for hysterics. No one was safe from them. They hunted the young and old alike. Now, Harvey and Greta know that they need to seek shelter at their church.

It was perfect, until... Until the night a blinding light swept over them, the lake, and the surrounding forests. Until their daughter subsequently vanished. Until an unknown beast stalked them through the woods that surround their cabin. Until they discovered the terrible truth behind the light that drastically changed their world. Until they understood the blazing light wasn’t a shooting star or a falling satellite, it was the EVENT.

A family moves into a scenic mountain town to start over. It is their intent to leave behind the violence and turmoil of their past. They find the perfect house situated on a large lake in the center of the town to begin the process of healing, but something is off. Lake Reflection is different. The negative energy and emotion they send out affects the large body of water and the townspeople are watching them very closely.

For Mike and Hattie Hayes, their cabin on a pristine Colorado lake has always been a refuge, a weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of Denver. Both are particularly excited their daughter and her husband have joined them for a weekend away. Their time with her is rare and precious. Long walks, fishing, and lunch in the nearby historic town of Rustic are all a part of the allure. The star-filled night sky viewed from their small boat is the clearest they have ever seen.

Adrian and Delanie Michaels need a new beginning in their marriage. Old grievances have almost buried them. To begin again, they need new scenery. They need a new environment for themselves and their young son, Trey. They never imagined they would be able to afford a home the size of the two-story Victorian they find in an older, upscale Colorado neighborhood. They know the home is newer than those around it, and they know this is because the original home on the site burned to the ground.
